.. How to Improve Earthquake Survival Rates


The people of Japan are strong to have nimbly built their nation, and we hope for their salvation. I believe in the future we or they may build shields that could damp the waves of the earthquake itself, by first digging cheap tunnels around and perhaps underneath the cities to have defence. The tunnels could use pendulums of poured concrete with a plate above, so the incoming earthquake's ground changes would first try to move the plate creating reaction in the pendulum below by connection to the weight below, that would stay more stationary and so damp waves both ways. I had believed waves like tsunamis might be canceled by an opposite explosion or implosion, and this could be tried out before use by using the new small wave tanks with special waves that have been found to simulate the deep waves of real tsunamis. The Chernobyl power plant was reduced in intensity by tons of green clay from France. Green clay has long been known to have great absorption power, most people will get lead and mercury from their computer and like all the heavy metals in the parking lot and rug traffic, green clay absorbs out all kinds of toxins. It even turns on an anticancer gene, and animals commonly eat green clay to detoxify, it's dirt cheap! They say all we consume was once alive, a new food would be green clay and magnesium! A good use of green clay might be to spray a foam with green clay inside on power plants that are radioactive, forming a permanent radiation proof shield. It's believed the prediction of earthquakes will always be limited by the low resolution of sonar, however those who say this may not realize gravity telescopes are now so sensitive they can pick up a supernova in the next galaxy and the gravity of a person walking by outside the lab. We may be able to actually image the earth if we start with the nearby stuff in the room and image them with 3d reliably and then extend our reach to further realms. It may be important like with sonar to send out a signal like an explosion or a gravity explosion to one side not through the center of the earth, this would stretch the beam to lose resolution. In addition there are two other advances we could make. First, sea walls have been found to have real value in research, as in the 2004 earthquake in Thailand where images show the walls somewhat damaged and buildings beyond mostly intact. An improvement on sea walls may be to use sensors ands also explosives inside the walls to generate a counter wave when the tsunami approaches. Not only may this stop much more of the damage onshore, it would also cost less because a much smaller wall and cheap explosives could be used, allowing a much larger area of shore to be shielded, and allowing a second wall in case the first line fails by redundancy.


Second it's been known that a batch of small self contained nuclear power plants are much cheaper to build for the same amount of power as a few larger plants. The problem with many power plants is the power to cool the reactor in emergencies is from the power grid, and the backup system is powered by diesel than only lasts for 30 days if the electric and diesel run out as in the prediction made by some that if a CME a solar plasma arch hits the Earth it may be far worse than Chernobyl because in 1837 or so the telegraph operaters were shocked, telegraph was now higher speed! The field hits the Earth, knocking out the power transformers now unshielded, leading to no power to cool the reactors, and the gas pumps can't pump gas leading to no transportation to bring diesel to the backup coolers of the power plants leading to the possibility of 30 Chernobyls for the US, wow gosh and ow. This is overdue they say because it's been more than the usual time of the frequency after the 1800's CME. Other methods to power all the pumps are needed. For the reactors where reliability is if most import the smaller ones are of worth, and for most stations, the use of geothermal type power not only may be better in emergencies, also the electricity saved may be of general value to the stations. Reliability on geothermal may be smarter especially for risk of catastrophes and risk of 1000s of cash in celebration for energy saved.

What is a Signal? .. Einstein held in relativity that no mass or information carrying signal could travel at faster than light. Even so he never actually defined what a signal or information is! In complexity theory so too there are about 70 definitions of information, yet no agreement is reached anyone knows what is! Since relativity some take to be the limit of all physics and knowlege, even though I don't agree with the foundation via relativity as I say on my links (see upper left) in order to also have a useful definition of a signal and information for use perhaps in other physics I define a signal and information as The ability to create a measurable change between two points in space, if no change is measured, no signal has been sent. This is a definition that holds for all the definitions of information in complexity theory, a change is the essence, the change can be small and weak or like energy conservation, where the changes are one to one. ..If the change takes place sooner than relativity allows, it's faster than light. This is a distinction between Relativity and GWD, my own theory. The cosmos has been found to have two regular symmetrical "sides" by the Wilkenson observatory, but since we may not be exactly at the center between the sides, to measure the link by the light we can see and not yet with the gravity wave telescopes, the two sides can't be coordinated by the light by cause and effect if we are like a thousand light years from where "one lump or two" would show up by light, thus we need a nearer set of points to compare by light at any rate to see if gravity is indeed moving faster than light, as in perhaps CMEs as I say in my physics synopsis (above left) and atomic clocks to measure what might be first the gravity and then the light a half hour from the sun for the light and the gravity wave almost immediately if gravity is lighter than light and so might go faster than light according to the density by my hopeful use of Maxwell's method to calculate the speed of light based on the density of the field, ect..
