SIMPLE WAYS TO TO FEND OFF A CME
...
The chances of a CME or other superstorm that could grow to enough size to knock out the power grids and communications is 1 in 20 in the next 15 years, says Daniel N. Baker University of CO., "undoubtedly devastating to the most advanced countries." On my site link below, I imagine how small simple wires radially to orbit much cheaper than space towers could be used to change the speed of the Earth's spin and reduce the number of earthquakes by cancelling more of the torque caused by the moon's gravity now being stronger on the water than the land and Earth's uneven mass (as the Earth is an oblate spheroid) thus reducing heat and the earthquakes and the risk of a supervolcano too (1 in 100 chance in 1000 years, changing global weather for 30 or 40 years). The small wires could have weights on them to speed up the changes. ect.. This might also be of use to change the precession and stop the 27,000 year cycles that are known to be associated with all the glacial and interglacial ages, either in start or end. The wires could even be used for power to motors on the Earth by spin as the wires move within the earth's changing field, and because they are with more cash in than out, they could be built larger and larger, even up to real elevator towers perhaps. Though I don't believe in elevator towers because they would be the largest machine ever built and a piece of paint could and would bring them down sooner or later, smaller wires with much smaller area are well within the reach of our science. Much cheaper methods to boost heavy payloads like the army's light craft, laser powered craft powered from the ground are already being built. Using the small wires for small elevators to boost up a large number of small payloads that then would assemble to starships or whatever in orbit seems not impossible and the most viable elevator plan. Other uses in combination (or alone) for the wires may be as small siphons to keep sea level from rising by making them absorbant and with small one way valves, and so on.

Rich For The Stars

About the storm, the wires might be used to store up power at night and then release it in the day between the wires when the CME was near the Earth to reduce the damage. As I say on the page below, even satellites with beams to connect to the Earth might be used to balance the torque, while creating energy too. Though satellites for now might be too expensive to be large enough for CME, large enough numbers of wires would be cheap, and the more wires in place, the more power would be recieved, so cheaper to enrich us.

Better for CME's might be a large net to shield from the field. There has been proposed a 600 mile shield to reduce global warming that would be of super thin stuff, but a net, being less dense might be more valuable for the CME and cheaper than this to reach the altitude of value. Another possibility is even that of nets at the top of each wire, directly above the cities or realms who have built it for shielding, or special antennas powered by the wire.

It's 100 Degrees in The Desert in AZ, What's The Weather Report? Rainy Weather Perhaps?

This month's Popular Mechanics 9 2010 pg 13 has this comment about rain;

..
"Rain From Airplanes"

"Findings from the National Center for Atmospheric Research show that airplanes can trigger rain or snow simply by flying through clouds composed of supercooled water droplets. As the droplets pass over propellers or wings and into the cooler wake, they freeze and fall to the ground, creating distinctive "hole punch" clouds that are sometimes seen in the sky"
..
...Other research shows that hurricanes are less common in times when there's more dust. This wouldn't be by shielding most of the time or the satellites couldn't see the land from above, I would think this may be because dust at large scale evens out temperature. All changes in weather need changes in temperature! For instance there's almost no snow in the arctic and antarctic because the temperature is mostly constant (the snow there built up in the ice ages meaning there was snow then and presumably the change in temperature is needed for this whether hot or cool who knows, perhaps Santwah Clause the Elf of N Ohio!). There is evidence that dust and ozone in the air around cities reduces lightning during storms. Thus it seems probable hurricanes are reduced by dust by way of the evening out of the temperatures and perhaps like a giant cloud, the temperatures are lower in general. A hurricane is a heat engine powered by heat.

..If dust controls weather I think we might use it to make rain more often; first we would explode enough dust to make clouds with airplanes or even by launching fireworks from the land because the best dust for this would cause condensation around each bit of dust. This would be the same method as the way jet trails make large clouds if overlapped except this wouldn't be by accident, the dust would be special to be safe to breathe and cheap and the most optimal to make the rain or even snow. This method would be used over dry areas; for areas with more moisture, the clouds are there so no fireworks needed, saving a lot.
..
For the final step, large helicopters or machines like helicopters would be sent up and the water in the air could cause the rain. This is essentially absorbing a lot of the water from the air by the dust, and then causing the rain with the helicopter, ect..There are 50,000 tons of water above a mile of land on a hot summer day. Other methods might be to also create cool air by turbines or even lasers from the ground or other physics to change the phase.

This might also be used for creating snow, 2/3 of business is Christmas with Clause has more options than us, with our cash machines, if we spend our month's cash how so rich!
