WHY THE 1918 FLU FIZZLED OUT
Because viruses like pneumonia that are involved with the lungs compete with others.
The 1918 flu fizzled out because of it being replaced by another more harmless "inert" virus.
I think this might lend to a valuable new strategy for Covid.
In this scenario we use a second virus to resolve it or find a natural virus that competes and boost it with engineering.
This might give us a durable viable way to remove Covid without constantly having to watch out for new mutant strains.
If we almost or completely eliminate Covid then we also eliminate its opportunities to mutate.
The sooner we might do this the better because Covid has combined more with time and might even limit this strategy itself if it was not implemented in time.
Otherwise we may be stuck with Covid indefinitely into the future, taking lives and damaging the economy..
While the 1918 flu fizzled out partially because of World War I.. the countries were trying to hide their vulnerability and not much playing up about the loss of life also because of the flu.
This might be one of the main reasons that the 1918 flu was "forgotten" and this might not be as well known as it relates to Covid...
This might also be our best defense against new bio weapons being developed as in this quote from the UK Daily Post..
"The virus was discovered while scientists were working on a lethal form of mousepox.
This killed 100 per cent of mice even if they had been given anti-viral drugs as well as a vaccine that would normally protect them."
